IF IT RAINS ON COMMUNITY SERVE DAY, please contact your Site Leader for alternate sites that will need us.

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church and its ministry is motivated by the love for God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in his name without discrimination. Through Door of Hope, the Salvation Army provides the Transitional Living Center, which offers homeless women and their children a safe, healthy environment and the tools to create a new life. The families may stay at the TLC for up to one year, and 85% of residents move into independent housing after that time.

This Community Serve Day we will be sanding and painting handrails as well as power washing the walls, stairs, and decks of three buildings.

Minimum volunteer age is 8 - families with teens are encouraged to join us!

Dress for a morning in the sun – your Community Serve Day T-shirt, pants that you can get dirty, sunscreen, a hat and closed toed shoes (no flip-flops). Don't forget to bring some water.
