IF IT RAINS ON COMMUNITY SERVE DAY, please contact your Site Leader for alternate sites that will need us!

Parent or guardian must be present to supervise children under the age of 12.

The Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation is dedicated to the preservation, enhancement and protection of Batiquitos Lagoon. The Foundation is involved in programs to educate the public in the values of this natural environment and the habitats it provides for birds, insects, plants, fish, mammals and benthic animals (organisms living on the ocean floor - worms, crabs, sponges).

This Community Serve Day, we will be joining the Foundation's efforts to protect our beautiful reserve.  We will be moving cut logs to another area, including log splitting, stacking and loading and some basic trail maintenance.

This is a great project for families and teens! Minimum volunteer age is 8.

Dress for a morning of outdoor projects – your Community Serve Day T-shirt, pants that you can get dirty, a hat, gloves, sunscreen and comfortable closed-toe shoes. Don't forget to bring some water!

If you have gardening gloves you like to use, please bring those for the day.
