IF IT RAINS ON COMMUNITY SERVE DAY, this project will still take place!

Brother Benno’s is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has been committed to serving the poor and homeless in San Diego North County since 1983. They are presently serving approximately 250 meals a day, giving out 2,200 food boxes per month, and providing hugs for all daily!  They have 5 residences that provide housing for men (3) and women (2) in recovery from drug and alcohol abuse.  The majority of those served are working poor families, the disabled, and low-income senior citizens; a small percentage are the homeless. The largest monthly contributor to the Brother Benno Foundation is the Thrift Shop. The thrift shop sells new and gently used items at low prices everyone can afford.

Be a part of sharing joy with the recipients of the food distribution program at Brother Benno's as we decorate their lunch bags and food boxes.  We will also be making heartwarming and decorative encouragement cards to accompany these bags. Did you know that approximately 250 bag lunches per day and 2,500 food boxes month are distributed each month, with many of the boxes going to our friends at Camp Pendleton? A representative from Brother Benno's will also be joining us to share more about their organization and how your efforts will help the community!

Bring the whole family this Community Serve Day - All ages are welcome!

Dress comfortably in your CSD T-shirt and join in the fun as we share special words and artistry of all ages with with those less fortunate than us.
