IF IT RAINS ON COMMUNITY SERVE DAY, this project will still take place!

The First Responders (Fire Department, Police and other non-profit organizations) are the local heroes of every city.  They are the first to arrive on the scene of tragedies, serious illness and fires, and are trained to quickly assess and remedy all types of situations.  They protect the lives and property of the citizens from fire and other disasters, and render life-saving assistance during medical emergencies.

As a way of giving back and assisting these treasured workers, we will be assembling care bags for them to take along on their calls, placing many different 'comfort' items into the bags, along with creating thank-you notes for them. The bags will then be grouped by location and shifts, to be delivered to the Encinitas Sheriff Substation and three Encinitas Fire Stations the week following Community Serve Day.

Minimum age is 6.

Dress for a morning indoors – your Community Serve Day T-shirt, comfortable clothes and shoes.
