Interfaith Community Services was founded in 1979 by a handful of
diverse faith communities to address the needs of low-income, homeless
and under-served people in North San Diego County. Their programs are
organized into five main areas: Nutrition and Basic Needs, Employment, Self-Sufficiency and Supportive Services, Behavioral Health and Recovery, and Housing. There are 4 locations - Escondido, Carlsbad, and two in Oceanside - each location serves a different client base.
This Community Serve Day we will be preparing an apartment to be ready to be transitional housing. We will be cleaning and painting these two apartments and possibly light handyman type of work.
Minimum age is 12.
If you have rags, paintbrushes, and cleaning supplies, please bring them along to use and share.
