IF IT RAINS ON COMMUNITY SERVE DAY, this project will still take place.

The mission of Father Joe's is to prevent and end homelessness, one life at a time.Father Joe's Village was established in 1950 to serve San Diegans experiencing homelessness and poverty, Father Joe’s Villages has grown to include a comprehensive campus and scattered-site programs that house over 2,000 people nightly. The primary location is in downtown San Diego. The volunteer work will not take place at Father Joe's rather toiletries will be collected and prepared for the women and children who find shelter at the village.

Come join us as we assemble Hygiene Kits and make no-sew fleece blankets. We will be collecting hygiene products (shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, feminine hygiene products, Q-tips, cotton balls, etc.), fleece material (Wal-Mart cheapest) Donations can also be purchase at

The goal is to donate 200+ hygiene kits to Father Joe's. A second part of this project will be to collect blankets for homeless families staying at the village.

This is a great family project - all ages are welcome!
